MAKENA BEACH & GOLF RESORT

We are VERY excited about the beautiful venues at this resort. There are so many dreamy options here for your ceremony and reception.   Choose from a variety of OUTDOOR VENUES that capture the true essence of Hawaii. A beachfront ceremony will be a treasured memory that will last a lifetime. Or, exchange vows at the hotel's beautiful courtyard, which features charming Japanese gardens and mesmerizing koi ponds for an unforgettable experience. But, our newest and most favorite venue is the MAKENA VISTA...it is serene, breathtaking, and super private.      Pacific Lawn: Adjacent to the Maluaka Lawn,  this site just a bit above sea-level, allows the rolling surf and golden sunset to caress your intimate ceremony and is the preferred Oceanfront location for wedding ceremonies and our Intimate dinner experience for two.

The Makena Vista: On the 14th hole of the Makena Golf Course, where 600-foot elevations create extraordinary views.  Restrooms are built here so you do not need to bring in any portables. A shuttle will transport you and your guests from the resort to this remote site. It will take your breath away. A pit has been built in so you can have your marshmallow roast or roast your kalua pig! Amplified sound permitted until 10pm. Golfers, you will love the fact that this is on a majestic golf course!  This venue is for wedding ceremonies AND receptions, and requires a minimum of 50 guests. The site fee is $1850! That includes the shuttle, use of the restrooms, AND a white or bamboo arch!

The Makena Clubhouse: A gracious club setting for intimate to midsize groups, overlooking fairways to the ocean beyond. This is the perfect location for your rehearsal dinner, your ceremony, your reception, or both! Your ceremony can take place on the manicured lawn, and the reception can continue steps away on the lanai or inside the clubhouse.

Courtyard Garden: A picturesque spot with exotic tropical gardens, a graceful waterfall and a tranquil koi pond. This is great for the VERY intimate wedding couple who wants a waterfall backdrop. It is not in the most private spot of the resort, but you'll never know from your photos!

This location also offers excellent INDOOR VENUES, ideal for either large or intimate receptions.



 

Ka'eo Ballroom: An elegant setting with adjacent lanai overlooking charming formal gardens and koi ponds

Holokai Pavilion: Adjacent to the Prince Ballroom, the 1,960-square-foot open-air pavilion is perfect for smaller and more intimate gatherings.  

 Molokini Lounge...This 2,000-square-foot room is ideal for mid-size groups, and offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.

DIRECTIONS TO THIS LOCATION From Kahului Airport: • Exiting the Kahului airport, at the first traffic signal, veer left and follow Dairy Road. • Continue on Dairy Road to the 6th traffic light and turn left onto Pu’unene Avenue (Hwy 350), following signs to Kihei, Wailea and Makena. • Continue on Hwy 350, which connects to Mokulele Highway (Hwy 311), for approx. seven miles. • Turn left onto Pi’ilani Highway (Hwy 31) at the second traffic light. • Continue on Hwy 31 approx. seven miles through 6 traffic lights until the road ends and turn right. • Continue down the hill where the road ends at the stop light and turn left onto Wailea Alanui. • Continue on Wailea Alanui through Wailea into Makena, approx. three miles. • The entrance to resort will be on the right.
