Assigning wedding tasks to help relieve the wedding stress

Once again, you will probably decide to hire a professional wedding coordinator after review this list of tasks. However, should you decide to handle these items on your own and designate them to responsible people, here is a list of tasks to consider for your wedding.

	TASK	NAMES OF RESPONSIBLE PERSON(S)
Before Wedding:	Drop off guest-room gifts at hotels
	Make sure get-away car is ready to go
	Pack favors, guest book, cake knife, toasting flutes,
	marriage license, wedding rings, ketubah,
	Pack unity candle, sand ceremony items, etc.
Wedding Day	Keep a copy of vows, toasts, readings, contacts
	Help bride bustle the gown (this person should attend the final
	fitting
	Bring changes of clothes for bride and groom
	Help bridesmaids get ready
	Help groomsmen get ready
	Meet vendors and supervise deliveries and set up
	Pass out programs, bubbles, petals for flower shower, etc.
	Pass out bouquets and boutonnieres
	Look after bride's purse and belongings
	Roll out the aisle runner
	Gather family for photographs, with photo shot list in hand
	Light candles on tables
	Arrange place cards on the table
	Set up guest book table
	Set up favors
	Make sure all décor is completed
	Make sure ceremony décor is moved to the reception
	Decorate the couple's chairs at the reception
	Make announcements and monitor toasts (emcee)
	Set aside food for bride and groom
	Make sure all professionals are aware of changes in event
	timing throughout the evening
	Set up cake knife, server, and toasting flutes at cake table
	Collect wedding gifts and cards brought to the reception
	Distribute final payments and gratuities to vendors
	Collect guest book, cake knife, and other wedding supplies
	Collect ketubah, wedding certificate,
	Collect extra favors left behind
	Collect centerpieces, return vases and rentals
	Prepare rentals for return
	Wrap and freeze top tier of wedding cake
	Take home couple's wedding attire if they are changing
	Take bridal bouquet, if it will be saved
	Arrange to donate leftover food, flowers, etc.
	Survey the site for any items left behind
After Wedding	Return rented tuxedos
	Take bridal gown to be cleaned and preserved
	Mail wedding announcements
	Make list of gift-givers during gift-opening session
